Fairly easy to build. I did it all on my own, took about 12hrs however I took several breaks and I was building 2 of these desks. Just as advertised. I was not expecting anything heavy duty. Everything was labeled VERY well and instructions were easy to follow (my only complaint was that in 2 sections it makes a point to say particular holes are “facing out”, but the illustration has them facing in). This is a pretty decent, small form pc desk. I probably should have got the large sized one. The packaging was perfect, no damage, and everything was there. Its a sturdy design, my only negative comment is in regard to the lower rear right side shelf. It was implied it was a shelf for your pc case to sit on. I have an old style full tower case that does not comfortably sit on this shelf without hanging over the edge. I made it work, but it needs to be like 50% larger to accommodate the newer 2 compartment style cases. Other than that, I like it. Looks good, sturdy build, no defects. My son picked this one because he wanted a gaming desk and this is perfect for him. In my opinion it’s a little more cramped than I thought it would be, but he likes it so far. He put it together himself (15 years old) and didn’t have much difficulty but took him about three hours. We are going to try it in the L shape first and see if it might be more comfortable for him as a straight regular shaped desk because he is 6’3” and with his gaming chair it’s a tight fit. Overall it’s made of laminate particle board so if you’re looking for quality wood, it’s just meh, but it’s a good desk for a gamer. For a standing desk, there is a very good amount of storage, and I love how easy it is to transition from sitting to standing. Some reviews say the quality is bad, but I think you get what you pay for. Obviously, it’s not a solid wood desk, but the pieces are sturdy and heavy weight. Unfortunately, there is a pretty big gap above the barn doors, and they are fairly loud when you slide them back-and-forth. Also, the desk drawers don’t seem to sit level, so when you push them in, sometimes they get stuck. You sort of have to lift one side of the drawer to get them to go in.. Wendy. Tewksbury, MA.
