It is deep, so shorter people may find a back cushion more comfortable. I really like the fabric, the style and it rolls really well. Instructions so so but if you look closely at the pictures it’s not too bad. Great dining chairs! I love the rich burgundy color and how easy they roll. As a bonus, they seem to be cat claw proof. The chairs are very nice and seem to be good quality. The seat cushion is very firm but will hopefully break in over time. The assembly is ridiculous. Based on someone elses review about the difficult assembly we decided to pay for the assembly as part of the purchase. Based on 4 chairs, the price was 191 for an hour and 45 minutes. The guy actually needed an extra 2 hours to complete the assembly of all 4 chairs, so we had to pay an extra 200. Wayfair needs to adjust assembly time in the purchase process.
