I love the look - that said, you get what you pay for. It is not solid wood, but it has a solid presence. This is the brown tone. The faux wood is more of an ash brown than warm brown. The biggest disappointment is that the headboard is unfinished in the back. It is not an issue unless you have a plan of having the bed in the middle of the room with the back of the bee exposed. The other reviews noted it was a challenge to assemble so we opted for Wayfair to arrange assembly. (That move was worrh every penny!!!) The bed arrived in two massive rectangular boxes weighing 85 and 75 pounds. The assembly person moved the awkward to handle boxes up two flights of stairs and that itself was valuable! The build took about 2 hours. Best aspect of the bed besides the look (which is what I wanted) is that it is great for our dog that had a hard time jumping on our taller bed. Customer service took care of it immediately and refunded me 99 bc I didn’t have time to wait for a new one. Disappointing but it’s Actually hidden by bedding. The new shipment did arrive with all the parts, but we also noticed some chipping and damage on the side. At that point, we decided to keep it because we were tired of going back and forth. It is a beautiful solid piece of furniture. It will last a long time. I paid to have it assembled, and one person did the job. It takes about 12 weeks to get delivered. I waited until it went on sale during Way Day and then signed up to receive marketing emails from Wayfair to get an additional 10 percent off. I was able to purchase it for a little more than $8,300. This bed is easy to put together and a nice height from the floor. Have been using it for about a month and don't have anything bad to say about it. Wasn't super expensive and seems solid so far.
