This is a nice simple basic but elegant velvet platform bed. Instructions are pretty straightforward. They did take me and my husband to put together just with Allen wrench and a drill, which is not really necessary. Just kind of speeds of the process, but it is nice. honestly I would use this more as a guest bedroomor in a guest bedroom so Im not sure about the quality although it does have the wood planks for stability so its firm it doesnt feel like its gonna break or anything like that. It is a good quality bedframe and its nice. It looks pretty elegant. For the price its a good bed but for longevity or something thats more of a statement piece. Really happy with this bed! The assembly was a little tricky in a few spots, and realistically I’d recommend having two people since there are certain pieces that need to be held in place while the other person attaches them. It took us about an hour to get everything assembled and moved into the room. The instructions were clear, though, and all of the pieces and hardware were included. It comes with several different-sized hex keys, but I’d definitely recommend using your own drill if you have one—it makes the process much faster and easier. Once assembled, the bed looks great. It has a very modern, sleek design, and I love the LED lighting and the built-in outlets in the headboard shelf. The LEDs come with a remote, which is a nice touch. But the absolute best feature is the under-bed storage drawers! They provide a ton of extra storage and make keeping the bedroom organized so much easier. Nice upholstered bed. I like that the cream color goes with everything. I chose a king size for when my partner visits and I have it set up in a guest room since my primary bedroom is too small for a king. The bed doesn’t require a box spring, but it feels a little low to the floor without one, so I might end up adding one anyway. The added storage space is a plus. I am already storing items under it. The bed lifts via the black strap visible at the end of the bed in a couple of my photos. The top end of the mattress slipped under the headboard a little when I lowered it back down and I had to struggle to get it back out again. Also the bed was difficult to assemble. This bed is a beautiful soft velvet and the color is lovely. The design is very beautiful as well. The directions say it only takes 30 minutes to put together but I did take me about an hour. I usually put things together alone but I needed help doing the footboard because it is very hard to balance and out the screws in alone. So keep that in mind when you begin constructing. The directions are very clear and it comes with a with a fantastic ratcheting style allen wrench which makes things go faster than normal.
