Repels water, if you spill something or it’s rained on the water just puddles and runs off. The cushions are thick and comfy. The back cushions have a zipper so I can take them off to be washed. Ok, so this is surprisingly such a great outdoor patio furniture set. It was a bit of a pain to put together (isn’t all furniture?), but it was well packaged without being annoying to unpack, and the instructions were actually pretty clear. It’s SO comfortable, and the ottomans are massive, so they’re great for putting your feet up but also good for extra seating. The cushions are super comfortable and feel like good quality, and the whole set just feels sturdy. It is a little lighter gray than the picture shows, but honestly, it’s really lovely in person. I love this set! Even dropping it a few times while putting it together, it had not damage and didn't damage anything it fell against. I even dropped some of the legs on the dining room table at several times, and they didn't scratch it. It is classy and comfortable. The colors are great (went with black frame and off-white cushions). It seems like it will hold up well. The only reason I didn't give it five stars was because of the directions to put it together. Wrong! We finally just ignored them and looked at the sketch on the booklet and went from there. I actually like that the two-seat loveseat can either be attached together or placed with a little space between them. Sometimes you have people who like to sit that close and othertimes you have a group where it would only be used as a one-person seat, otherwise, because no one wants to sit that close to another person. These chairs are just what I was looking for! They are good looking, solid and well made. They are quite comfortable and the pillows have a nice firmness. They do come with adjusters on the bottom of the legs. Putting them together was simple, but have to admit having a 2nd person help hold in place, while adding screws made the job go faster. 4.75 stars. I love this set so much. It is really pretty in person. I bought it really for the rockers. I wanted chairs that didn't just swivel but rocked and this set just fit the bill. The cushions are thick and pretty firm. I did buy that coffee table separately - but I got it here on Wayfair as well and I love it too and it matches really nicely. One suggestion - pay for assembly. My husband did ours and it took forever. The couch and ottomans were not really that difficult but the rockers were definitely more complicated and time consuming. I personally dont feel like I could have put it together myself. Also dont over tighten the rocker mechanism screws. We did that on the first rocker not really knowing not to (didn't say in the directions). If you overtighten the chairs will not rock well. Beyond all that I am in love.
