I have been using this table for about a month now, and the long, distinct indented lines on both sides of the tabletop are still there and have not disappeared at all. This is clearly a permanent manufacturing defect rather than temporary shipping pressure—most likely from sub-base seam splicing or a flaw in the veneering process. While its hard to notice in dim indoor lighting, it is painfully obvious and highly distracting under direct sunlight or when backlit by the windows. For a dining table at this price point, the craftsmanship and quality control are deeply disappointing.
