These barstools are sold in sets of 2 and we needed 4. When we got them there was only 1 box that had the instructions included. I can't imagine how long it would have taken us to assemble the chairs without them....... Putting the legs together (first step) was slightly tricky, but every step after went smoothly. The holes for screws are perfectly machined, nicely thought out assembly design. The swivel seats rotate is smooth as can be. In choosing the height for a 36 inch high counter I felt there needed to be something in between the 25 inch and 30 inch stool.
