Global Home Berkeley Bed

A fusion of Arts & Crafts and Asian design, the Berkeley Bedroom is both sophisticated and practical. Crafted in solid cherry hardwood with American black walnut accents, the collection features a variety of cases and a low foot board bed designed for use with a mattress only. The Berkeley Bedroom is made to order in several finishes.

We are pleased with this bed. It seems to be well made. The finish is not at the finest level of high end-furniture, but it seems to be on a par with our expectations. The finish quality did not extend to the routed channel where the vertical rails of the headboard meet the base; in this area the finish is rough, as if caused by overspray. But this is behind the pillows and you would not normally see it. The listing on Wayfair, at least when we ordered it, really need a lot more pictures and close up shots. We had to ask, for example, whether the verticals in the headboard have a square cross-section or round ( they are square). I would have preferred that the antique cherry finish be a bit lighter than the walnut verticals to enhance the contrast, but, as I said, we are sufficiently please. The delivery / set up crew did a fantastic job. Careful, quick, and courteous. They deserved 5 stars. The bed gets 4.. Jay. Colleyville, TX. Tue Nov 11 2025

I love the way it looks. And the colors are perfect. Hector. San Antonio, TX. Thu May 28 2026

Space, style, and function are the three main themes expressed in the Berkeley storage bed. Very pretty high quality bed! Had a couple scuffs when it got installed but it’s not huge so I’m choosing to ignore them. A bit lower in height than what I’m used to but still great!. Luciana. Orange, CA. Tue May 12 2026

The Artless SQB bed is our best design of them all, we do pick favorites, and this bed is it. The structural purity and the detailing make the bed as functional as it is beautiful, and it will last a lifetime. May the images speak for themselves.

It is a beautiful solid piece of furniture. It will last a long time. I paid to have it assembled, and one person did the job. It takes about 12 weeks to get delivered. I waited until it went on sale during Way Day and then signed up to receive marketing emails from Wayfair to get an additional 10 percent off. I was able to purchase it for a little more than $8,300. I shopped around and I haven't seen it below that price. It's worth every penny.. David P. Phoenix. Mon Jul 24 2023

LOVE the look of this bed. I have a small space was worried about the perimeter size but it’s perfect not too low to the ground. I was unable to use WayFair assembly service (due to no fault of theirs), so I hired someone to build it. They noted that certain measurements were “slightly off” making assembly more difficult. However, they got it built in less than two hours. I’m very happy with my purchase but we recommend to pay the extra for assembly if possible!. Anonymous. Sun Jun 28 2026

I love the color and the weight, heavy duty support with the wooden lattice to put the mattress on. I had to give it 4 stars because although it shows very low on the floor. I think it’s a little low for myself but not for my husband it’s new so I still need to get accustomed to it. It’s like a Japanese style bed low to the floor. Everyone have their wants and needs..
