A great table that matches our other living room tables (from a different brand, but same look and design). We just sold our counter height table and chairs for this glass top table. The biggest difference is in the perception of the space in the room. Even though this table is much bigger than the old solid wood table, the room looks bigger due to the openness of the glass. The living room/dining room area just looks so much better and bigger. This unit ships in 3 boxes. The glass top, the metal legs and the wood beam are all packaged separately, which makes for safer shipping for each piece. Constructed poorly. The shelf in the middle does not fit properly. The instructions are not written, there are tiny pictures of which you cannot see. The middle shelf that stabilizes the table came with 3 corners damaged and a scratch on the top surface, and a big chip in one table leg. Perhaps this table was bits and pieces of others, should have taken 10 min, but to 3 hours and 2 people to try to match misaligned parts. Also description said black, it's more espresso it does have brown tones. Glass top is pretty but incredibly heavy, so with the poor design of the base, I would question how long it will hold up a 100lb top. This gives a separate rating for the table and the Wayfair-arranged assembly. I give the table a 5 rating and the Wayfair-arranged assembly a 0. The table is a Classy, gorgeous piece. The chairs I purchased fit perfectly. I had been concerned they would not fit underneath the table, given the design of the table’s base. That concern was not a problem. The glass top was perfect. The thickness of the glass table top was perfect. I had paid for Wayfair to arrange assembly. It was clearly a two person job. This was vividly stated on the outside of the box, including a diagram on the box. It stated “Heavy Lift “ and also on the box was written in large letters “Very Heavy.” On the appointment date, only one person arrived. He insisted he could do the assembly by himself. Aside from injuring himself, I was concerned the table would be damaged or my floor would be damaged by him breaking a very large, heavy piece of glass on my wood floor. I spoke with Customer Service who agreed it was improper for a single individual to assemble the table. A second appointment was arranged for two days later. I waited all day until 5:45 pm only to have another single individual arrive. When I expressed my concerns and showed him the messages on the box, he readily agreed that he could not do the job alone. I felt I had wasted two days waiting for Wayfair-arranged assembly to occur. Needless to say, I was very disappointed. My assembly charge was refunded and I was left to find installers on my own. Miraculously, I was able to find someone who did an excellent job. Good table for a breakfast nook or small dining space. It has solid wood legs with a secured glass top making it more stable than a floating glass table top.
