I had a ge microwave already. This was basically the newest version. Be careful. The mount bracket is a little different and the top screws are in a different spot. It came with nice paper templates that showed you exactly where to mount and drill. Me and a friend installed it in 45 minutes. Works great. No fluff solid ge appliance. I’m happy. James. I've had my new microwave for three weeks. So far I love it. Easy to use. Food is heated as I needed. Used the potato button yesterday and it was great. This is my second GE microwave. My first just died one day after 14 years. My appliance company recommended this model and it was on sale, so even better. I recommend dealing with a local appliance store as they kept records my previous purchases and knew what would fit in my kitchen. Their prices were better than the big box stores. It is good to have so many functions in 1 product, however you have to have a cheat sheet handy to use the functions or power levels because they are not on the control panel. In the two months since we started using this microwave, it has proven to be reliable. We previously had a 1200-watt microwave, so we have had to get used to increasing the cooking time a little bit with this 1100-watt model. The controls ae easy to use. Good features. We bought this new microwave to replace our old GE microwave that looks literally identical to this one that weve had for the past 12 years or so. Having said that, these are built to last and what I really like about this one is that its much quieter than our old one and the display is much brighter as well, with bigger numbers it seems.
