So far, I'm in love with this fridge, it was just delivered yesterday. I want to note that the measurements for the fridge without the hinge for the height is off by a quarter of an inch... they did not take into account the wheels. We had to cut my cabinet so that it would fit. I used to have an old side by side fridge, and it's a little crazy that the new refrigerators are not the same measurements. The only other reason I gave it four starts is that there is not a drip tray for the water/ice dispenser in the door like other models have. Otherwise, the LED lights are fabulous, it is very spacious. Magnets stick to the front. The temp controls for the fridge and freezer are right on. It cooled very quickly.. Newfridgeyay. The ideal refrigerator makes storing groceries neat, clean, and easy, and this side-by-side model is no exception. So far, so good. We wanted a 48” built-in fridge to replace our 24-year-old GE Monogram. Looked for one with size and reliability being most important. Did not want bells & whistles, so this one was as close as we could get. Wish we could have purchased it without the huge ice maker that we very rarely use and without internet connectivity. Shelves are a tiny bit less deep than the last refrigerator, but it’s not too much of a problem. It’s working, keeps the food safe, and is very attractive. This is a nice refrigerator. I wish it came with a meat drawer and a pull out freezer door. Other than that the sale price was right and I am happy. I like the fact I can hear it running. My LG was too quiet, I kept checking to make sure it was working. I loved it but paid for three repairs. Freezer went out and spoiled all my food so I said enough I will try this GE. So far so good!. I’ve owned the fridge for about 3 weeks and it is a solid upgrade. PROS: It looks great and elevates the look of the kitchen to gourmet. The water/filter quality is top tier and the auto sense fill feature saves time when filling up a glass or a measuring cup. And of course it chills and freezes nicely with features that boost the capability for special circumstances such as installation or recovering from a power outage. CONS. It’s missing a few “normal folks” features that I’ve enjoyed over the years and that I would expect for the cost. 1. It is massive and takes 4-6 people to deliver it; annotate that during delivery or they won’t send enough people to get it off the truck. Also, installation and haul away aren’t included. Be prepared to pay a few hundred extra. 2. The door isn't magnetized - so it won’t hold a magnet. 3. This refrigerator is absolutely perfect. We were at tired of finger prints etc on stainless we went with white. Best decision ever. It brightens up your kitchen and so easy to keep.
