This is a great futon style mattress. The frame is not included and I did not buy a frame for it but it comes with the slots so a frame can easily slide through the cover. I bought it soecifi to slide u set the bed and pull out for when my daughter had sleep overs so her friends can sleep on it and it works perfect for that. Pretty firm and cannot feel the bed frame underneath - we find it very comfortable for sittingreadinglaying down - haven’t slept on it but imagine it would be fine.
