To give you some perspective, the typical coma inducer has a 280 gsm fill rate, and most, if not all, other coma inducers are under 400 gsm. So when we add an extra 1000 gsm in fill weight, you know this is a thick boi. What makes this coma inducer even more impressive is that we didn't use just any filling. We used grade polyester with a blow-in technique to create a down alternative feel. Each square is like an overfilled, squishy plush stuffed animal. We then coupled this thick, high-quality filling with an outer ultra-cozy plush that has a hand feel like petting the fluffiest cloud or a cuddly dog that had one too many meals. Inspired by PURE THICKNESS. Maybe we've lost our minds here at Coma Inducer or maybe we've always had a couple of screws loose??? But we've become obsessed with THICK. Seriously though, who likes a weak comforter? Does anyone enjoy getting a comforter vacuum smushed in a box that looks like a flat sheet and comes with instructions to shake it out and wait 4 days. And, after those 4 days are up, it's still so thin you wonder if you actually were sent a flat sheet? The thought of such a comforter makes us sick! Sure, it's harder to create, produce, and ship such impossibly HUGE comforters that are "THICKER THAN THICK"... but isn't that the whole point? With the amount of hours we sleep (or should sleep) each night, it should be a crime to have a flat sheet-like comforter. Our Thicker Than Thick Coma Inducer consists of 1200 GSM of thick, pure goodness. Overly thick filling combined with cozy soft plush creates a deep sleep experience like no other. This doesn't mean that there is just plush on both sides of the comforter, that is something all Coma Inducers already have in common, rather, it's the backing of the plush that you can't feel. You see, most backing (the portion facing the inner filling) is not plush because it's never going to be seen or touched. Making that backing plush would add costs, but sometimes when creating something that is softer than soft you need to break the rules. Inspired by our customers. Our most common request over the past few years has been to create a cloud-like comforter that is overly thick, fluffy, and yet not super hot. It's been quite the conundrum. The idea of something that's the thickest, yet somehow is still lightweight and not hot is like asking for a bedroom to be dark while keeping on a light. How can you take two things that are opposite and still create the desired request? After much time and effort we think we did it!! Look At This Thicky Coma Inducer® is the best of both worlds, the ultimate combination of the thickest comforter that is fluffy cozy yet doesn't overheat. With an exterior outer material similar to our Cool It Boi, a 180 GSM nylon / spandex blend, you'll have a super silky soft hand feel that's very cooling to the touch. Now, if we left it at that, it would be just another top-of-the-line cooling comforter for summer, however we heard your requests! We took this cooling plush material and paired it with our best-of-the-best down alternative, cloud-like fluffy filling. We created a 'standard' 800 GSM filled version that can be compared to our Thicker Than Thick Coma Inducer filling which, as the name suggests, is pretty thick! While the thickness of this cooling comforter is above average, it would be considered standard next to our new world record, 1600 GSM filled version, which we politely named Extra Thicky. We say politely because 1600 GSM is absolutely, 100% unheard of for a thickness level. It doesn't exist, at least, it didn't until we made it a reality. Me and my Frenchies just love this comforter now I will tell you it’s very warm so I have to keep a fan on at night even though it’s 55° here and Lowe’s go all the way down to 36°. I absolutely love this. I wish there was a way to get one that was lighter for summer because it is so soft and cuddly. I just wrap up in that comforter each night and I love it the dogs love it.
