I would have rated this higher solely due to the fact that you get what you pay for. In my opinion it’s like buying a used car. However to put things into context I purchased the full size however, it was for an adult client who needed it for an apartment in NY and most adults don’t buy full size . The size was for a smaller bedroom space as NY usually offers smaller sized rooms. The bed is nice looking and offers interesting compartments however I should have read more deeply into the construction. For 1 the bed has a ridiculous weight restriction of 250 pounds which limits the ability of it accommodating 2 adults unless they are 100 pounds each or 2 small people. To assist with this issue I had to reinforce the bottom by adding more legs to give it more support. The foot end bookcase is a nice feature but I had to use it elsewhere as it made for minimal space when together. The side drawer feature is nice as well. However, I don’t like the fact that it was not on some type of caster system and that the top layer is very thin particle board. The top would be nice if it was a stronger wood as there is enough space for it to be a bench. So I created a bench that covers edge to edge and the support is strong enough to accommodate the bench. The client decided to leave it out but the bench is removable so it can go back under the bed if necessary. Lastly beware of the shelving on the headboard as you will lose it if you don’t get a mattress under 8 inches and who’s sleeping on that.so I opted for a 10 inch mattress and just added wood to added lift this shrinking the size of the shelf. Lastly lastly, I changed the hardware and now my client has a bed yaaayy!!! Whew…the moral of the story? It’s like buying a used car. Brian. New York, NY. Fri Feb 07 2025
