We love the old fashioned look these knobs add to our knotty alder doors on our new home build. The only thing I can add is you might have to chip out some of the wood (as shown above) for the strike plate to lay flush..if it doesnt you will have issues with the door closing properly.. Lisa. These were exactly what I was picturing for our recreation of a 1920s style billiards room. I was in search of knobs that went with my vision & selection of dark woods & bronze lighting fixtures. They are gorgeous. I would have given 5 stars, but the glass had to places on each that were not fully polished & had frosted unfinished rough spots. We love the old fashioned look these knobs add to our knotty alder doors on our new home build. The only thing I can add is you might have to chip out some of the wood (as shown above) for the strike plate to lay flush..if it doesnt you will have issues with the door closing properly.. Lisa.
