Because the wood is not prepared for the screws, doing it by hand is not possible. It is easy to put together other than that. Im not sure what it is about stretching a tablecloth over the legs of a standard 6-foot party table that makes the look so much cleaner and more elegant, but it definitely does. Also, to me, a black tablecloth looks so much classier when throwing a party than just a normal white tablecloth. I love that this tablecloth has these white elastic corners (shown in my second picture) to easily find and hold the cloth taut to the legs.
