“Blistering Billows, when you confuse my hubby, you’ve outdone yourself.” This drop-leaf dining set had my husband looking at the instructions like he was deciphering ancient scrolls. Assembly definitely took longer than expected, and there were moments where patience—and maybe a strong beverage—became part of the toolkit. That said… once it finally came together It’s actually a beautiful, sturdy piece. The warm wood tone is rich in person, the drop-leaf function is perfect for smaller spaces, and the hidden storage cane-front detail give it a surprisingly upscale look for the price point. Chairs feel solid and the compact design works well in apartments, breakfast nooks, or multipurpose rooms. Overall, this is a very nice table. I could not give it five stars because of the difficulty in putting the 12 screws for the hinges in. Although the instructions do not indicate a drill is needed to start the holes and then a drill is also needed to screw in the screws. Because the wood is not prepared for the screws, doing it by hand is not possible. It is easy to put together other than that.
