We got this for my wife and her upcoming hip replacement surgery recovery. Very comfortable chair, not huge, fit's my 5'-1" wife well, well made, sturdy, smooth operating lift mechanism that does not travel as fast as the other Flexsteel reclining furniture that we have. (Not a bad thing, you wouldn't want a lift chair raising you up on your feet too quickly, causing you to loose your balance.) The faux leather fabric has a nice rich feel and actually feels like leather. I assembled the chair myself after delivery. Very simple to do. No tools required. Good directions. Only negative was that the chair was supposed to be delivered by FedEx, but Fedex passed it off to a 3rd party company (probably because of the Christmas surge in deliveries). Had I of not been outside and heard a truck's back-up alarm, the 3rd party deliverymen were about to drop the chair at the street, 200 yds from our house. I got the smaller sized chair and it fits me so much better than the large ones do. My arms are not stretched out to the sides so much in order to reach the arm rests and they aren't so tall to make my shoulders bunch up. The adjustable headrest also is closer to my neck level rather than making my head tilt down when I extend it, It actually moves my neck forward as well as my head. It is wonderful to have storage compartments in the wasted space on the sides of the chair too. I can put the ipad/device holder inside one of them when I am not using it. It is wonderful not to have to run a cord across the room in order to charge my phone as well. I LOVE THIS CHAIR. I love La Z Boy rocker recliners and have had them for over 50 years, but this is the best one yet. The speed of the footrest lowering is the fastest yet. That home button is GREAT! So, don’t get me wrong I LOVE this recliner. Its fabric is nice, thick and looks to be durable. Its color is true to the online pictures. It’s super comfortable and has plenty of cushion with adjustable lumbar support and head rest. It rocks, swivels and reclines making it the perfect comfy chair. And YES! You can rock with a slight recline. Also, the recliner feels solid which I expected with flexsteel. However, theres a couple things to note, which is why the 4 star rating. First, was that we actually ordered the hand lever version and was sent the electric version. I’m not really complaining honestly,but it’s worth noting the wrong item was technically sent. And in receiving the electric version came some of the features we loved (adjustable lumbar and head rest), but also where some of the issues come in. The buttons are not labeled and take some getting use to. They can also be a little finicky.For example. I pressed the recline button then the foot button to adjust the feet and went to adjust the back again, but it wouldn’t recline. I had to set the recliner back to default and restart the chair adjustment. Another is that the recliner does not lay flat. For me this isn’t a big issue, it’s good enough. But others may want the feature. Lastly, the slots that fit the back of the chair to the base can be difficult to get together on assembly and leave a gap at the seat back if not settled. This review will consist of two parts. What I think of the recliner so far is it is what I expected, comfortable and it survived shipping arriving in good shape. All the moving parts are OK and the remote is working properly. Now for the full service delivery: The photo supplied is where the driver dropped off the chair, on its side I might add. I set it up right to remove it from shipping container. 1. Room placement Nope, dropped on front step box wouldn't fit through door. 2. Appointment scheduling Late on four hour window and no phone call 1 hour prior that was stated. 3. Assembly and Set-up Not a chance. No delivery team, only one driver who wanted me to sign paper before I could check for damage and he took off as soon as he could after dropping off chair. 4. Debris removal No because he didn't set up so I have to get rid of all the cardboard. 5. And finally the $99 dollar option (I received it free) I got absolutely no value. I ordered from Wayfair because of this service as I am 77 years old and have trouble putting things together now and lifting heavy items. My suggestion to Wayfair is make sure when you give the item to a third party is make sure they will supply the service that was paid for.
