OMG. This took so long to put together…literally 8 hours and two people. There are over 40 steps and each step has steps. Parts are mislabeled and it’s super easy to secure a part upside or backwards. I just put together a loft bed in February and that took me about 4 hours. I went into building this assuming it would take just about as long but no. With that said, the quality of this loft bed is 5 stars. The one I built in February didn’t feel super sturdy but this one is a different story. If you go into the process knowing you’re going to spend all day building it, I think you’ll be happy.. B. CA. Assembly wasn't to difficult, but did take about 4 hours to put it together by myself. Hardest part was getting the bed slats that go under the mattress to line up with both sides of the frame to go into the holes, but once you figure it out it's smooth sailing. Overall, very solid and sturdy. Stairs are a nice touch over a ladder and the little shelf cubbies make a good place for small stuff. The space underneath is a perfect fit for a 78" couch. They didn’t give us enough of some of the screws so we had to go out and buy our own, but it ended up working out just fine. We had to attach the brackets to the inside of the book case part because they wouldn’t fit on the back of the stairs like it was shown in the picture. Overall design isnt bad, but there are lots of small, poor choices. The storage on the stairs is not sealed in the back allowing for item to fall to the base of the stairs requiring disassembly to get them out. Some of the hardware is inadequate or inappropriate, too long, too short. Many of the predicted hole are not aligned properly. The assembly instructions lack steps, with some step simply showing a dozen parts and 5 dozen fasteners just going together, no order of operations. Pretty disappointed overall.. Will. Instructions are AWFUL!! All 84 pages of them. Oh a QR code to see detailed video of assembly?! NOPE just kidding, it’s not in English and appears to be filmed by a potato about 100 yards away. Over the course of 3 days we invested about 22 hours, and we are pretty handy as far as assembling things go. Several things weren’t lined up properly. Pieces were warped. One piece cracked. Nails and screws weren’t all labeled. For the price I expected much more. It looks nice once assembled, but cost me my sanity.
