I bought this as a TV stand for our new living room last year. We have nice big windows and once we assembled it, we realized we didn’t want to block the whole window with a TV. So we decided to mount the TV on the wall and we use this to display these handmaid barns my father made our daughter many years ago. This is a really beautiful and sturdy piece of furniture. Mine did come with a crack on the top edge. But it did not affect the structural integrity and so I reported it to the manufacturer. They were great to work with and we came to an agreement that I feel is fair to all. This does come with a marker too in case you scratch something while assembling and so I used that on the crack and though I know it is there, I doubt any guests would ever notice it now. It is heavy so make sure you don’t try and move it by yourself. About 100 pounds. I’m not a fan of MDF furniture and find most pieces are made of this material more and more. Finding this cabinet in solid wood at this price point was a winner! Ordered this in Oak along with the assembly that was completed last week. Solid wood cabinet that is beautiful and functional, and reasonably priced. Additionally, it has a manufacturer’s warranty of 5 years, which was a major consideration in selecting this piece! Love the look!
