This worked out better than we expected for the room because it filled the space perfectly and the dark brown color matched existing doors and blended well with the other furniture. It takes time to assemble (allow several hours) and I am lucky because my roommate is a general contractor so it went well. Have been looking for a solution for more hanging room in my very small bedroom. I purchased 2 of these wardrobes to flank my full-size bed that sits sideways under a window. The house is very old where they used to have very small closets. I was looking for a "built-in" look and these were the perfect size! I am putting them together by myself (directions say it needs 2 people) but I was able to assemble the 1st one no problem. The wardrobe is very sturdy when assembled. I have the first one all put together and need to put the drawers and doors on the second one. I am very happy with the color! I may replace the gold knobs if I find some more whimsical ones, but this will help eliminate the 2 portable clothes racks that have graced my bedroom since I bought this old house! Beautiful piece! Looks even nicer in person. I paid for subcontractors off Angi's list, through Wayfair, to handle the assembly. That went well. Very nice men who were efficient and kind. They had it assembled in 2 1/2 hours and it would have taken me at least a full day. You pay extra for this and it is worth the fee. There are three areas on the piece that need to be replaced by Wayfair (contacting them tomorrow). A door that is warped and does not match up with the door next to it, a flaw in the center main door, and a door that does not soft close as it should. The soft close feature is so nice on all the other doors and drawers. The handles are beautiful and nicely made. The color of the armoire is gorgeous. The biggest pain points for me were that it arrived with a big, jagged chip on the front leg, some odd stains on the wood in some spots that didn’t match the finish, and there were chips in finishing wax used to seal the wood that uncover an entirely different color underneath. I know the piece is intentionally designed to look vintage, but those specific elements don’t appear intentional. I did appreciate that all the doors are lockable, which wasn’t specified in the description, so that was a nice surprise, but the exterior plate covering the actual hole of the of the locking mechanism on one door doesn’t line up, so unfortunately it doesn’t lock. The doors that don’t have a key plate on the exterior do have sliding locks on the interior top and bottom. All in all, it’s truly beautiful, but not worth full price in the condition I received it.. It’s nice. I think it’s beautiful and has a lot of storage space. The hinges and doors are difficult to align (they are still misaligned for now - too frustrating. Will reapproach later). I was missing the pieces that the odd shaped rod fit into - I contacted Wayfair and they sent me all hardware again EXCEPT the piece I was missing. This lavishly hand-carved armoire is made up of solid mango wood. The armoire has two front doors and a drawer. The front doors have voluminous hand carving and striking motifs. The doors have seen through carving as a big bunch of flowers and intricate hand carving on the flowers to show the petals on them. This begets three big flowers on each door and adds up the charm of modern rustic in it. The doors are easy to open with the iron rings attached to them. The “rustic” antique black looks nice, but due to the ROUGH texture of the wood I think it will be extremely hard to dust. The dust clothe will catch in the wood. For the cost, I think I should have kept looking. I also believe that photos of the lower section should have been available to view. I do “like” the armoire, but I don’t “love” it. I guess it will do the job. I hung coats & jackets from the clothes rod and beneath the shelf I installed I put my capris. I used the other shelf in the lower section and placed my jeans in there. It’s very roomy. Note, it states there are 3 shelves and there were only 2 actual shelves in the unit. I guess if you placed 2 shelves in the upper section that you would have 3 separate spaces if you count the bottom of the upper area as the 3rd shelf. Hope picture helps if you’re trying to decide..
