This is a great percolator. It brews a full pot in 10 minutes and according to my meat thermometer the coffee is about 150 degrees which is perfect for us. I am still developing the muscle memory needed to replace the percolator onto the hot plate but not a big deal. Of all the percolator we've owned this is the best brand. The coffee team gs lets you program the amount of coffee to grind: choose from 2, 4, 6, 8, or 10 cups and select mild, regular, or strong. The coffee filter holder stays inside the machine during grinding, preserving more aromas and reducing mechanical movements. Giving 4 stars because of the way it was packed. Serious punctures to the Farberware factory box packed only in a thin plastic bag that also looked like it had been damaged and taped up. Coffee pot not damaged but sure could have been.
