Overall, this is a very nice table. I could not give it five stars because of the difficulty in putting the 12 screws for the hinges in. Although the instructions do not indicate a drill is needed to start the holes and then a drill is also needed to screw in the screws. Because the wood is not prepared for the screws, doing it by hand is not possible. It is easy to put together other than that. Quite the nice table. I got the unfinished so I could stain the color sine I can never tell if the color will be right when ordering online plus I wanted a dark base and a light top. I was happy to see that the top does not have those zig zag joints that are often popular with rubber wood. The grain is nice and the pieces of wood have a good color match. The table is sturdy and well made. Look up the directions from this web site for the assembly of base to top. I was in the furniture industry for nearly 30 years with Lane, La-Z-Boy, and finished up as a VP for a Hooker furniture division. The veneer work reminds me of Lane, the ease of assembly reminds me of La-Z-Boy, and the solid construction reminds me of Hooker. So we basically got the best attributes we were looking for. Crafted of solid rubberwood with butcher-block construction, the round tabletop has two 9" drop leaves to comfortably seat two or four, while the pedestal base features four simplified cabriole legs for support. We love how this piece is right at home in smaller spaces like eat-in kitchens and dining nooks. Why don’t you think about layering in something distressed (like a floral oriental-style rug) for a space that looks lived-in? Something to remember, you will need to assemble this piece once it arrives, but we've included all the tools you'll need to put it together. When it comes to upkeep, we recommend wiping it down with a soft, dry cloth.

The table was delivered in two boxes, one for the tabletop and the other with the pedestal. The tabletop delivery was fine hardware and assembly instructions were included. The issue was that the pedestal was missing from the second box only the table feet arrived, no hardware, no assembly instructions. After contact with Wayfair, the pedestal was delivered still no hardware nor instructions even though that information was conveyed.
