Two new puppies are kept from tumbling down the stairs or running down the hall. This is a quality gate and very versatile. I bought an open box version of this, so it was a little less expensive. It's working great. It was very easy to set up, all of the necessary pieces were included (something that makes me nervous about the open box discounted items) and it's a nice looking gate. I find that I can't completely close the actual door, but I can close it enough for my purposes.
