The Great Burnt-Orange Chair Adventure
These chairs arrived ready to test both my patience and my relationship with my daughter. Fortunately, they passed on both counts.
Assembly was surprisingly straightforward. Each chair required just four steps, and my daughter and I tackled two chairs each. We averaged about 30 minutes per chair, which included the usual “Wait, does this leg go here” moments that seem mandatory with furniture assembly. The instructions were easy enough to follow, and we had all four chairs assembled without any major frustrations or missing hardware.
The color is what initially caught my eye, and it did not disappoint. The fabric is a beautiful burnt orange with a slightly rusty undertone that adds warmth and personality without screaming for attention. It’s one of those colors that manages to feel both modern and timeless.
Comfort-wise, these chairs exceeded expectations. The upholstery is soft and inviting, with enough cushioning to make lingering around the table a pleasant experience. One of my favorite surprises was that there was absolutely no chemical or “new furniture” odor when we unpacked them. That’s a small detail that makes a big difference.
The swivel feature works flawlessly. The mechanism is smooth, quiet, and sturdy, adding a fun and functional touch that makes getting in and out of the chair effortless.
My only disappointment has nothing to do with the chairs themselves. After receiving them, I discovered that I can’t find the exact same chairs sold as a pair. Now, I’m either going to have to order additional chairs from a different vendor and cross my fingers that the color, fabric texture, and overall style are close enough to match, or purchase four. Furniture roulette wasn’t part of the plan, but here we are.
Overall, these chairs are stylish, comfortable, easy to assemble, and surprisingly well-made for the price point. If you find them available, don’t hesitate too long—I learned the hard way that they may disappear before you can order more.
