For the price of $809 and free shipping this was worth it for me. Having said that, there are issues. The ash drops through a chute BEHIND and underneath the unit. I have not figured out what can be put back there to collect ashes. It will have to be a wide short metal bucket of some type. I think this should have been mentioned and provided or be for optional order. Then there is the ridiculous excuse for an owners/instruction manual. How hard would it have been to expand that just a little...for instance...I do not know what the lever in front underneath the firebox is for...I assume for dropping ash.......then there is the problem of .....is the back position closing up the ash drop, or is the forward position that causes ash to drop? The unit was built in November of 2025 and arrived Dec 15, 2025 but all that notes that on the metal sheet from the back is a dimple in a box, and for the model number. I might have bought a different make of wood stove had I known all the above for $100 more plus the separate purchase of a blower....and all of them seemed to be out of stock. Then there is the metal sheet on the back that has the serial number on it. How hard would it have been to make a copy of that for the owners/instruction manual?. Richard. Marble Falls, TX. The fireplace is lovely. Perhaps I should have gone with the white in my space but it looks good nonetheless. I wish there was a crackling fire sound effect included for this price point. I’ll have to come up with my own system. It’s solid, my 20lb cat jumps to the mantle without shaking it. Last point the metal grille is painted to look “antiqued”. I was anxious ordering this because of the lack of reviews and because of the high price. I selected it because I weigh less than this stove and my strength is moderate at best so anything cast iron was out of the question to move down the stairs of my home. The main caveat to my review is that this is my first wood burning stove so I have nothing to compare it to and it is intended to be primarily decorative so I’m not really testing its heating capacity (also it arrived in June). Overall impressions, it seems really high quality to me. It looks beautiful and functions well. It arrived in pristine condition and held up well to my honestly pretty rough handling of it as I pulled it up and down stairs. Barely a scratch on it despite it tipping over once and slamming down to the ground several times as I pulled it up my porch steps. The metal didn’t even dent during all of that. It is very sturdy. When it comes to the total weight and ease of moving, it is very easy to remove to door so you don’t need to worry about the glass shattering in case there are any mishaps. I was able to pry out the vermiculite board in addition to removing the door which brought the weight down by probably close to 30 lbs. Nothing else was easily removable. For installation, the top of the stove is 39.5 inches. I didn’t measure before sticking it inside another pipe, but the male connector at the top is about 4-5 inches on top of that (I wasn’t sure whether the 39.5 in was the top of the stove or top of the connector when I ordered). The fit between the male connector on the top of the stove and the female pipe is very tight to the point where I had to really fuss with it using pliers and rubber mallet to get it to fit into the female pipe end.. This heater can put out some heat!! I set mine at 60 degrees and it stays 70-80 degrees in my well insulated small home. It is NOT a wall insert - it mounts in the floor- I purchased it to mount on the wall and then had to call Wayfair because it does not mount on the wall as advertised.
