This traditional weather station is both a work of art and an instrument at home in any fine study, library, office, or upscale restaurant. The rich, wood framed classic weather station measures barometric pressure (liquid). The antique weather station displays an air of quality and accuracy one would expect with a fine, handcrafted weather instrument from Ambient Weather. The concept that 'decreasing atmospheric pressure predicts stormy weather' was postulated by Lucien Video and it's the basis for a weather prediction device called a storm glass or liquid barometer. It consists of a glass container with a sealed body, half-filled with water. A narrow spout connects to the body below the water level and rises above the water level, where it is open to the atmosphere. When the air pressure is lower than it was at the time the body was sealed, the water level in the spout will rise above the water level in the body and when the air pressure is higher, the water level in the spout will drop below the water level in the body. Also includes a comfort meter, which measures temperature and humidity, and a comfort zone indicator.

I was surprised at the quality versus price. I found this unit very accurate in the readings compared to various other sources. I bought this unit together with the matching barometer and liked the looks so much that I followed my original order with an order for the matching clock. I will make a mounting board for all three units. This was a very good investment in quality instruments that meets my needs at an affordable price... Thomas. Abilene, TX. Thu Jan 20 2022

I bought this barometer as part of a three instrument set which included the tide clock and cabin comfort.meter. After adjusting the barometric pressure to local conditions, I checked against airport barometer settings on a daily basis to determine accuracy. The readings are dead on accurate day after day. It reflected three major frontal passages in a wide range of pressure changes. This is a good bargain for the price.. Thomas. Abilene, TX. Sun Jan 23 2022

Analog weather readings that get down to brass tactics. The Analog Dial Barometer tracks atmospheric pressure on a compact 4-inch dial with dual scales—inches of mercury and hectopascals—so you can read changing conditions before they arrive. The brass slimline frame and metal pointer give it a striking contrast against the UV-protected colored dial that belongs on any wall. Durable construction and a domed protective glass lens mean it's built to hold up wherever you hang it. No batteries, no Wi-Fi, no waiting on a forecast—just brass, glass, and your own read on the weather.

Pretty but so far not too accurate!. Jana. Mora, NM. Thu Aug 27 2026
