I am giving these 4 stars even though I won't be keeping them. These bar stools are beautiful and made with solid craftsmanship! I was so impressed with them from the moment I pulled them out of the box. Unfortunately, they are bigger than my space allows, and I do not like the feel of the curved seat when sliding onto it from the side (I am short, and they hit my legs uncomfortably). They are very comfortable once you are sitting with your legs forward. It has really given me a pang to return them. (Especially since I am losing so much in shipping them back.). Marcia. Delmar, DE. Love the chairs. They look beautiful, are comfortable and seem to be pretty substantial! The directions and “tools” for assembling them…not the best! Make sure you have a good hex head screwdriver.
