Couch is extremely well made…all fabric seams are straight and frame is solid. It is firm for seating but not unforgiving or uncomfortable..I feel it will hold up well. This is an elegant, firm sofa that was easy to assemble solo, and this is not something I usually do. I did have a friend help me flip it up onto its legs after assembly. The box arrived really beat up, and I had misgivings as I was unwrapping, but the contents were protected. I have now had this sofa for over a year; I slept on it for three months while fostered cats and kittens took over my bedroom. It would work to use it as a daily bed, but it is VERY firm. The blue velvet fabric has held up nicely despite 2 cats (who fortunately, do not scratch it). I have received many compliments on it; it is the focal point of the sitting area. When the rather large and heavy boxes arrived, they were dropped off outside my front door without notice (no knock on the door or ringing of the doorbell). Also, after assembly, the boxes weren’t disposed of; I was advised that I was responsible for hauling the boxes away. I’m handicapped and this was very difficult. This sofa was easy to put together for my husband, although he needed me to hold the edge of one section of the sofa to help with sliding the latch in between the furniture pieces. The set looks just like the picture, so this is great. It is pretty huge and may not be the best for our space, but it will suffice for now. It took a few days for the pillows to fluff out (expand) to look puffy - so do not be discouraged when you see that it looks flat initially. Best bang for the buck! I bought the three seater couch that came with (2) ottman's as well as the chair. The installation directions were super easy and I put them all together quickly. I like it, don’t love it. The slip cover is my favorite - it’s a thick linen and soft and really exceeded expectations there. It was really easy to put together. It’s not super, super comfortable like it’s pretty firm and the base has springs in it so it’s kind of hard and bouncy almost. The pillows are fine - way too big for the pillow covers that come with it but they technically fit. Id consider replacing the inserts. Overall, it’s fine.
