This works very well for the price, and the pop of cobalt blue was exactly what we were looking for. Several sets of houseguests have complimented it. When we have couples stay, we pop up the trundle and then turn the two twin mattresses lengthwise to make a king-sized bed that doesn't separate or move around. Great! Took longer to put together by myself took around 3.5 hours. It wouldve gone faster if I didnt tighten bolts the first round. For those reading these reviews, I’m starting to question the intelligence of those that are saying it took 3 people and was a pain, etc. I put this bed together by myself and it took me about 1.5-2 hours! I think some folks just can’t follow directions or read It would have been easier with help as I had to be pretty flexible to hold the spindles while securing the pieces but I was too impatient to wait on my husband. Very happy with it. Needed a trundle bed that would fit 9.5 inch mattresses. Bottom does just fine with 9.5 inch. Would probably do okay with 10 inch too. Only used the top so far but it’s comfy. If you have any creaking make sure to tighten everything up and it should be fine. They say not to tighten until end so then you need to go back and tighten to make sure there is no creaking or wiggling. Pretty easy to put together even as one person just a bit of time. I got the green daybed. The colors were true emerald which is lovely next to house plants. The bed feels sturdy but my only issue was the lack of a central support beam. So I just built one from some planks of wood. All in all, I am very pleased with this piece of furniture and I get to enjoy it as a couch and just sit on it getting some sunlight while reading.
