It works well where you need some space most of the time but also need flexibility for guests. The bed can remain extended if preferred. The trundle can be pulled out and in with the wheels and hydraulic system. Comes with slats kit so box spring is not required.

This bed is cute. It does everything that we need to do. It was simple to put together. It’s got a simple look to it. My only concern is that it advertises an 8 inch mattress. It is definitely not able to fit an 8 inch mattress. We ended up buying 6 inch mattresses and my husband had to build extended legs for it to come off the ground enough to be able to slide the bottom in and out even still I’m not able to slide the bottom in and out. I have to wait for my husband to do it for me. I would recommend going with a five or a 4 inch mattress unless you don’t mind possibly not being able to slide out the bottom. My daughter loves her new bed. Overall the bed seems fairly solid. When putting it together the predrilled holes for the center support were in the wrong spot and the trundle wouldn’t fit. Wayfair offered 15 back or replacement parts. We took the partial refund and drilled our own holes. We used an 8inch mattress and it worked perfectly. The trundle is easy for my 7yr old to pull out. This day bed is very attractive and fits perfectly in our spare bedroom. It is a lovely shade of gray. We had Jonathan from Angi assemble it for us this AM and that was well worth paying for! He did a fantastic job, prompt, knowledgable, and very organized. Can't wait to get the mattresses on it and start using it. May become my favorite reading spot! We did have some issues with shipment delays and a few missing screws, some because of the weather in the past few weeks. The product is great!!! The cost was very reasonable. The lights did not work though. There was no plastic strip to pull out on the controller to activate the battery.
