The seat is smaller than I anticipated. I fit snuggly but a large man may not fit or feel comfortable in them. Material was great. Color was great (this is the dark brown not the whiskey brown). Suede material so the cushions likely will be susceptible to stains. Praying we catch them before the toddlers wreck it. Installing was generally easy though we didn’t have any directions. I absolutely adore these barstools! I purchased them when we moved into our home six years ago, and I’m happy to say that we still use and love them today. One thing that makes me especially impressed with these chairs is that they’ve survived six years with rambunctious kids. My children are not particularly gentle with furniture, and these chairs have been tipped over more than a few times. As a result, the backrests have loosened and slightly broken in a couple of spots over the years. Thankfully, we’ve been able to tighten everything back up with an Allen wrench, and they’ve remained perfectly usable. The black legs have also accumulated a few chips and scuffs from daily family life, kids running into them, toys, and general wear and tear. However, after six years of heavy use, I still think they look fantastic. One thing to note is that the seats are wood and have decorative grooves where crumbs and food can collect. It’s not a major issue, but you may occasionally need to wipe them out or vacuum the grooves to keep them clean. Overall, I would absolutely recommend these barstools. They are stylish, durable, and have held up remarkably well in a busy household. I receive compliments on them all the time, and people are always surprised when I tell them they’re from Wayfair. These are great and very comfortable! If I had one criticism it would be to ignore the instructions when it says to tighten the legs to the foot rail to 100%. Definitely put all screws in (legs to seat and legs to foot rail) at 50%, then align and tighten the legs to the seat to 100% BEFORE you tighten the foot rail..otherwise you will not be able to align the chair legs in a way that minimizes the gaps between the parts, creating pinch points for fingers when scooting in your chair. I was looking for a lower profile stool that still had good back support and these were it! They are cushy and soft and supportive. They were the perfect color as well. My only wish is that they had foot rests on the sides as well, but that's because I'm used to that now. One cushion has a small gouge that would have split more as we sat on it, so I requested a replacement and Wayfiar was so quick to respond! We had a replacement within the week.
