It is a beautiful serving spoon that will not bend no matter the weight of the food it is used to serve. The size of the bowl of the spoon (2 inches at its widest, makes it perfect for those dishes that are dense (and/or higher in calories, when you don't necessarily need or want a super large dollop.)
