This pain is as close as it gets to perfection! It heats evenly, is scratch-resistant (no plastic or silicone tools required) and is as close to non-stick as any other pan I've tried and I've tried several! It's so much less finicky than my stainless steel or carbon steel pans. Worth every single penny and I'd buy it again in a heartbeat. The size is perfect for things like browning taco meat or large batches of sauce. The high sides mean that my stove top stays clean because nothing is splashing over the edges. My only qualm is that it's not dishwasher safe. But it's so easy to clean that not using the dishwasher hasn't been an issue for me at all so far. 10/10 would recommend!. A.. United States. Our new saucepan turned out to be the perfect size for us, in between our smallest and the medium one. It’s very pretty. It cleans up easily and I did not even “season” it like the instructions suggested. So far I’ve only simmered vegetables in it and it worked fine. This is a very small pan, which is exactly what I wanted. My go to pan was Farberware, and it is over 20 years old, horrible condition as it will not even fry an egg without sticking now. We are great cooks in this house and somehow we can still make our old pans work. BUT....This Viking pan is next level amazing. I see why its so expensive. It is heavy like a cast iron pan and I love love love that!! I cooked an egg in it without using any oil. Now I am obsessing and want a whole set. I just have to figure out a way to explain to my husband why we need 600 pots and pans lol. Maybe I can compare my pots and pans to some of those high end tools he has in the garage lol. I have been eyeing Hestan for a year or more. I know it’s pricey. But for me I am almost 40. My husband and I have been married for over a year and our current pot and pan situation is a mix from our college days and donations from various family members trying to rid of their old pots and pan. But I won’t be replacing them in 5-10 years from now. They are meant to last. Per all the reviews. I know I want pan that I put in the dishwasher and don’t have to worry about it being injured from my amateur cooking skills. I love the feel of the pan. The handle all of that. When I picked up the all clads in the store they are too like straight or not like ergonomic for my petite frame. I want to eventually get the whole set of pans. But since we were moving. And my husbands old saucepan had been beaten up and the non stick wearing off. I was like ok time to try the 1.5 qt. I had a wayfair coupon and wedding money to spend. On something that is essential to my kitchen. It has cleaned up beautifully in the dishwasher. I only wash the lid by hand since that isn’t nanobond. The saucepan. Had little water marks coming out of the dishwasher which I don’t mind but they do have a polish they sell if you are displaying your pots. I heated up some brown sugar and butter. Which turned out great. Only tip I got from Hestan when I called about the different pans. Was it you have an electric stove with coils.
