This table is cute. However, when I unboxed it, it already had a scratch across the top. The other issue was even though its all screwed in all the way the hydraulics seem to have issues. When opening you have to pull relatively hard as well as be careful when you close it because it drops hard. The hydraulic is also very wobbly and i cant figure out why. This little coffee table is a very versatile piece in front of the couch. First of all, it was the perfect color stain that matched my sofa and side tables. The very top of the piece shows the wood grain and rich colors in my pictures below. Even though it is MDF the wood looks fairly good. The curved side pieces have stylish ridges that I see trending all over. No corners protect kids, dogs, and the elderly, so the oval shape is fits. The table is also small enough so it does not overwhelm the living area space, but I would check your own dimensions to make sure it is the right size. This would not look good with an oversized couch behind it. Assembling it took some time considering it was just myself and I am not fast. It took me a couple hours. Nothing was difficult, it just took time. I did manage to install the hydraulic hardware for the lift facing the wrong direction, so hold the hardware up and be aware how the top will close once installed so you don’t make the same mistake. The functionality of this table is what sold me on the purchase. The storage is wonderful inside the table and we already have a bunch of board games there. The lifting device that brings the top closer to you is perfect! We use it for coffee and snacks, and it really is nice having that feature.
