I store board games inside mine and its held up well for everyday use. One thing to flag the finish shows oil stains easily, so definitely use coasters and be mindful of what you set on top. For the price, I think the quality is exactly what youd expect — solid for everyday home use, but I wouldnt expect it to survive rough handling like a packed moving truck. I am so pleased with the console unit. It took a bit to build but we were prepared from the previous reviews. A little tweaking to get doors level but not too bad. This replaced a big heavy wall unit and in my phase of decluttering my home the storage was great. I was able to fit all of the grandchildren’s toys and games and also my new hobby of coloring with markers and pencils. LOVE THIS TV STAND. It filled up the space perfect, looks great and the price was good. My only issue is the drawers, I don’t know what I was thinking, I needed cabinet space for things and the drawers are smalll BUT I made it work in the end.
