The table is sturdy and solid. It glides open and shut very easily. Because of the weight of the table, it did take two people to assemble. The color of the table top is less of a red hue than pictured on the website and less red than the pedestal. Love my dining table it exceeded my expectations. Although the description indicates saddle brown, I ordered and received the black with natural top. Table and chairs are very sturdy. This dining set met my expectations and seems to be made overall. The white glove delivery experience was very efficient and positive. My only negative concerns two of the six chairs in my set. These chairs are shipped pre-assembled and two have a significant wobble. One of the two has a factory defect where one of the leg screws was stripped and will not tighten. This set is beautiful, a perfect size for my space. It is as pictured. The cherry finish is not overly “ red”. Matches my cabinetry very well. Solid feeling set, chain/ gears for the expansion leaf. There was a small nick in table edge, should cover easily. There was a scratch , maybe just in the varnish, of the pedestal base, won’t easily be seen. This dining set is beautiful and matches perfectly with the china cabinet. The wood appears to be of good quality. I am very happy with this set. It took an evening to put together (3 hrs) by myself. I am a 69 yr old lady. The only thing I couldn't do by myself was flip the table upright. This is a very heavy, solid wood set. The finish is darker than the picture, which I am glad. Much more dark cherry/ mahogany color than the orangey tone on the website. I thought the chair seats were black but the seat part is a very deep brown. Looks black from afar. The assembly was easy and the directions were clear. Assembly was a little tricky because the leaf did not align with the pre-drilled holes. Moving the hardware fixed this.
