LOVE this chair! Well made, sturdy, arrived well packaged, and easy to assemble. For those who do not already sit cross-legged, I would suggest allowing a period of time for your body to adjust to sitting easily in the posture. It is well worth the effort as a seated cross-legged position naturally allows the body to maintain a healthy posture. For me, I had already taken the time to learn to sit cross-legged before purchasing the chair and found that I did not need to raise the upper seat at all in order to achieve a comfortable seat. The main surface (where the crossed legs rest) is large and comfortable. I had to raise my desk about 3 inches in order to allow for my knees to go underneath the desk and my hands/arms to fall in a comfortable position to type. Again, well worth the adjustment. When I do sit for long periods of time, I experience fatigue in my back and core, but that is to be expected as those areas strengthen after sitting in a chair where I did not have to engage those muscles. So I actually love this chair. I am 5'2" and a long time criss cross applesauce sitter. I have another desk chair that's wide seated to account for that. But like most other adults in their mid-forties, my neck and shoulders (and body) are killing me by the end of my work day. I wanted to test something out that would be better ergonomically, and after just a minute of sitting, I could feel a difference in my posture and neck. I did paint my seats bc black was the only option when I ordered, and the blue looks so nice with my space and the cushions are still nice and soft. Only reason I deducted a star was bc I was not provided with the right hardware pack. For some reason, the strips that go under the legs were missing, and in its place, some screws and connectors. This chair is SO comfortable! The Material is an amazing quality, and is such a smooth soft faux leather. The padding and cushioning of the chair is just right for sitting many hours at a time comfortably. My favorite feature is the width of the chair seat. I like to sit with my legs crossed and there is plenty of room for this. The chair rolls and turns very smooth. The electric recline is a really nice touch if you need to kick your feet and and relax for a bit. I do wish the foot rest would raise on its own, but in order to pull the foot rest up, you also have to recline that back, so that is the only thing I would change about this chairs design. The chair has a battery pack so you do not need to keep it plugged in to use the electronic recline feature. My chair just arrived, and I’m pleasantly surprised at how smoothly and efficiently the unboxing and assembly went. Everything is packaged well and protected from scratching during shipping, but there’s also no styrofoam in the box and very little packing material to throw out: one big shipping box, a few small pieces of cardboard, and a small amount of plastic bags/bubble wrap. The hardware is clearly labeled and neatly separated into numbered compartments (like an advent calendar) and they give you a spare of each one just in case. It was really convenient to be able to just open the compartment that you needed for each step without disturbing any of the other pieces but also having them all in one place. The instructions were very clear, and there were nice details like having “front labeled on the bottom of the seat to help you get oriented. I put it together by myself with the included allen key in about 25 minutes. It helped to have another chair to prop up the seat when assembling the arms/attaching the back, but there really wasn’t any point where I thought, “I wish I had another pair of hands.” I got the beige white color, and the material looks nicer in person than in the photos (more like boucle than terry cloth, thankfully). The seat cushion is a bit more firm and the back cushion is a bit more pillowy, which seems like what you’d want. Comfortable to lean back but you don’t feel like you’re sinking into a pillow. It rolls and raises really smoothly and feels quite sturdy all around. This is just a first impression, but it was a really good one! I was kind of dreading having to deal with a whole mess of cardboard and styrofoam dust flying around and a bag full of fiddly screws, but there was almost no cleanup needed (only one box to break down!!). The chair is attractive, the leather feels smooth and the camel color is nice. It's a comfortable sit but I'm not sure for how long. There is decent padding in the seat and the back does feel ergonomic but is seems like a chair for short term office sitting, not long term.
