Overall the bed is nice. My son really wanted a loft type bed so we chose this one for the look and also based on the good reviews. A lot of people said it was fairly easy to put together. The directions kinda sucked and it was just annoying to put together. Everything was labeled nicely at least. The insert with the Allen type key bolt isn’t our favorite type of securing mechanism but we cut the Allen key and made a drill bit making it a lot easier. Some of the wood pieces weren’t perfect or hollowed out enough. A piece actually came damaged but Wayfair sent out a new one right away, which was much appreciated. It doesn’t feel like the most solid structure. It’s fine to be sleeping on but I did warn my 4 year old not to be jumping or hanging on it. Time will tell how it holds up.. Gina. Ny, NY. This bed is AWESOME! My 9yo daughter loves it and so does her 11yo brother. She’s tall for her age and our ceilings are on the low side (house built in 1982), but she’s able to be comfortable when she’s in her bed without issue. I wanted to find something to maximize her small bedroom and allow flexibility. Right now she has a little sofa under it, but as she grows, we’ll be able to rearrange the space into something different! She went from hating her room to loving it. It did have a small flaw on the white pieces, but it was small enough to not worry about, considering what the kids will put it through. Cannot recommend this bed enough. The frame itself seems relatively sturdy and will do the job for my 6 and 8 year old great grandchildren I believe. It was just put together today and I can't speak to how well it will hold up to children's use or the overall sturdiness and length of use. What I was not happy with was being uninformed about a couple of things. I contracted for the "assembly service". I was unaware that delivery of the bed was not allowed to be brought indoors. I am older and can't lift these packages so it was quite a problem getting them in and then into the room. I expected a delivery to be brought into the room the beds were going into. Also, I did not expect that not only would the delivery be separate from assembly but that assembly did not include the movement. Wayfair told me to move the boxes into the room, open and inspect myself. I would have hired a more full service if that was the case. However, the person who did the assembly was great - did a very thorough job, personable, willing to help, professional and prompt. Ashely was awesome. After using almost 2 months, I must say the screws keep falling out. Also, I noticed it says I received something for my review but I don't know what that was supposed to be. I'm happy with the bunk bed. But my kids are ecstatic. They were celebrating it for like 30 minutes. And the best part is they sleep better now. Putting it together was as difficult as advertised and due to my fitness level, I was sore for days after. The instructions were thorough, though could have been better as some steps could be merged with later ones to make the construction easier to accomplish. And the slats portion could be improved significantly as some were shorter than others. Those steps also didn't convey that the position of each wasn't fixed. So I had to measure the bed frame and put marks down to ensure I did it evenly. I would have expected markings on the frame to indicate where the slats would go.
