This ceiling fan looks beautiful over the bed in our beach house. It is unique in the way that the rattan is in lines and is also done in a double layer like light. It has a ceiling fan that is attached to top of it and you use remote control to open the fan up and to close it. When it’s closed it just sits folded up at top. When you want to use it you push button and speed and it circulates and the blades unfold and open as it picks up speed. It looks amazing. Again. Very unique. Still looks coastal but also a more modern version of the coastal look as opposed to the older leaf like blades that have been around forever. The color is light and neutral so it goes with many things. You can put different types of bulbs in it as well as different shades of color. It went up easily and it seems to be made very well. This is the perfect fan with adjustable LED light. The best part of it is being able to adjust the color tone and brightness of the light. It still connects to my light switch but I have the remote that comes with a mount to turn on fan. The fan has 6 speeds for pulling air up or down. Do not let the size fool you, it is powerful. The weave is beautiful and tight. No loose ends. Also when I was having trouble removing the smaller rod to attach to the light mount, Wayfair and the supplier provided a video and detailed instructions on how to proceed that same night! This shade was a great replacement for the old, yellow one that broke. It features a soft, bright matte white finish. Although it comes with a cap equipped with two holes for pull chains, only the center chain is functional because the opening is too narrow to use the fan chain—at least for my model of fan. This fan came nicely packaged. I’d say the color of the rattan is a bit lighter than the product photos. Also, I noticed that the white paint on the inner pieces is sort of streakynot fully covering. There was also some white paint on that middle clear plastic piece that flaked off when I touched it. I still plan to install, but I docked it a star for some of these details.
