We have a "Florida basement" storage room in our modern organic coastal home that needed a light. This was perfect, nice (not cheap) quality and a little fun. I want to love this so so much! It was easy to install and other than being tedious work to hang the crystals they were easy. It looks absolutely gorgeous, however as you can see, I did not expect that the room would be so dark above the light, I also did not realize the rest of the room would have the broken light pattern on it. I have never owned a chandelier so I was unaware of these effects. For those reasons I dropped a star off. But the fan is so awesome on this light and the light it gives to the floor is excellent as well. I also do not like that the remote for this light is black. I believe it completely throws off the aesthetics of the room. I will be hiding the remote behind something because no way do I want a black remote on the wall. I wish it was white (. Laura. I needed a ceiling fan that was flush-mount for my guest bedroom. This one didn't disappoint. It was surprisingly simple to hang. This ceiling fan/light is even prettier in person. The fan has 6 speeds. I used 4, E26 soft white bulbs,the smaller sized round ones. I tried larger bulbs and they were too big and scraped on the prisms.
