I DO recommend the desk as long as you can accept the "CONS" I list. CONS; 1. IMPORTANT, The ledge is not wide enough to safely/securely place the stand of larger monitors. Unless you use a monitor arm I would not recommend this desk if you use anything above a 24" external monitor. 2. The 20" depth might be just a little too short if you are using a laptop with the lid open and an external monitor placed on the desk or ledge. 3. LEDs are not nearly as bright as pictures show. SO-SO The soft side drawers work but not something to brag about. I expected this so wasn't surprised. PROs I'm impressed at how sturdy it is for a light weight desk. Assembly was fairly straight forward as were the instructions that are pretty well written. Everything fit together well and assembly took less than 2 hours with two people. Finals thoughts. If you are using an external monitor I would suggest you consider NOT installing the ledge and use a monitor arm to get the most useable desk space. I did keep the ledge but might remove it later.. I was initially worried about the drawers being made of fabric, but they’re surprisingly sturdy. I have a few heavier items in them, and they’re holding up really well. I couldn’t be happier with this desk and would definitely buy it had been looking for the perfect desk for my home office for months! I finally decided on this one, even though I was a little hesitant because of the mixed reviews—but I’m so glad I went for it. It’s perfect. It’s really nice, and I love that it has extra shelves and a storage area tucked under the L-shaped part of the desk. I purchased this desk for a basic gamingwork setup and it does exactly what I needed it to do. Assembly was pretty straightforward and didn’t take long, even doing it solo. The instructions were clear and all the parts were included. The size is great for smaller spaces but still has enough surface area for a monitor, keyboard, and accessories without feeling cramped.
