And we love the pull out trundle twin size bed for when they have their cousins or friends over! We currently have our nugget play couch on the trundle rather than a mattress, but will be getting a mattress for it. The only complaint I have is that it came with absolutely no extra hardware incase a piece is broken or gets lost during set up, not a single extra bolt, screw or wooden dowel, but otherwise we are very happy with this purchase!!. We recently updated my mother's bedroom, and one of the biggest changes was purchasing this Twin over Full bunk bed that she had been wanting. Overall, we are very pleased with it. The bed is solid and sturdy for the price, and the color looks great in the room. Assembly wasn't particularly difficult, but there are a lot of pieces, so I recommend giving yourself plenty of space to organize everything before you start. We also added a few extra slats for additional mattress support, which worked out well. For the lower full-size bunk, we purchased the 9" Plush Cooling Gel Hybrid Mattress by Zinus, and it's been comfortable for her to sleep on. The trundle is NOT full size!! Every description on the website says full bed with trundle, full bed with trundle, full bed, full bed. Nowhere does it note that the trundle is only a twin. So we purchased two full mattresses.. And couldn’t return them. Beware of that! UPDATE - we have had the bed foe a year now and every single slat under the bed is broken and one of the rails that holds the slats (the slats act as a “box spring” and hold the mattress up). That is just from normal wear and tear … not vigorous activity or jumping on the bed. I’m disappointed. So far this bed is great. Love the height on it. The only thing I’m worried about is the wheels on the trundle are cheap feeling and only move one direction. It would be nice to have the option to have them move any direction to avoid moving the nightstand every time we want to use it.
