Assembly was a little tricky because the leaf did not align with the pre-drilled holes. Moving the hardware fixed this. This dining table features a classic French country aesthetic that's designed to anchor your space. I do love this table and thought I was really smart with the leaf being built in. But that means the table top expands while the corner legs stay in place. It extends the table top, but not the number of chairs you can fit on one side without someone straddling the leg. Kind of a bummer for my planning for 10 with 4 on either side and 2 at the ends.. This expandable table is wonderful in every aspect! It arrived the day after I ordered it and was very well packed! This table is very heavy! That being said, I was able to assemble it by myself and get it turned right side up onto its legs by myself also. I am a 74 year old woman who is almost totally blind in one eye and I have significant tremors in both hands. THAT is how easy it is to assemble this piece with the provided scrws and alan wrench! Just attach the legs- period! The screw holes are threaded metal and perfectly located. The extension is automatically brought up when you pull on the end of the table. It is very smooth operating!
