We got this bunk bed with storage for our kids, and it has been a total game changer for their room. The built-in drawers hold way more than I expected — clothes, pajamas, extra sheets, and even some toys — which helped keep everything organized without needing another dresser. The bed feels sturdy and safe. The guardrails on the top bunk are solid, and the ladderstairs are stable enough that I don’t worry about them climbing up and down. Once it was fully assembled, there was no wobbling or squeaking. Assembly did take a few hours, so definitely set aside time and have another adult help. Overall it turned out really nice. The kids love it so far. We really like all the storage spaces. They didn’t give us enough of some of the screws so we had to go out and buy our own, but it ended up working out just fine. We had to attach the brackets to the inside of the book case part because they wouldn’t fit on the back of the stairs like it was shown in the picture. I’m a carpenter by trade, and even I had a hard time putting this together. This is very sturdy and well-built. It took my husband about 3 hours to assemble it himself (he is very into this kind of thing so it might take others a little longer). I only had to help lift the top bunk onto the pegs, but otherwise it was a solo job. There's plenty of room on the bottom bunk for my kid to sit up and when my other kid wiggles up top, it's not super squeaky or wobbly for the bottom kid. Overall I really like this bunk bed. Color is a bright white. Some of the pieces appeared less painted, as in I could see the wood grain behind the paint as the piece could have used another coat, but once the bed was together this was completely unnoticeable. Some pieces also came a tiny bit damaged but they were all hidden once together. I thought I was going to have to add slats or a bunkie board because of the distance between the slats but because of how they are attached and the material that runs down them to attach them this was not necessary at all. I have 6 in memory foam mattresses on mine that work out really nice. The bottom bunker might bunk their head- but this is true for any bottom bunker on a bunk bed.
