The manufacturer also recommends that it not be left outside in freezing temperatures. That makes sense to me, although the woven fibers of this chair feel to have some kind of protective coating. Overall great chairs and table - we looked at many sets on Wayfair and decided on this for the thicker seat cushions. Despite getting the “pro” assembly one of our chairs seems to rock smoother than the other which is a bit odd. Only thing is I wish the base was a bit heavier to prevent tipping while rocking. I love the chair, the look and quality is a great value. However- there were 3 screws that did not line up so it took multiple people pushing one way or another to get the chair put together. This is a great office chair. Mechanically, this is a much higher quality than most that I have used. It was easy to assemble and works great in the space we needed it for.
