I got one of these in last week to try out for myself. I was hoping it would encourage me to sit with better posture, or at the least with my legs not crossed in a lap. Turns out, I can still sit cross-legged on this and still focus and stay upright. My cat hates that I have this because she can't sit in my lap and block me from completing work or other tasks. She has to resort to laying on top of my puzzles or keyboard. Overall, I love this seat. I haven't ran into an issue where I feel like I'd benefit from a cushion.
