This was initially going to be a 1 star review because when the bookcase arrived, every shelf and the bottom of the bookcase was damaged. I changed it to 4 stars because of how great the product support has been. I submitted the issue to wayfair and they put me in touch with the manufacturer, who offered to send a replacement if I sent the damaged one back. I didn’t want to deal with the hassle of returning such a large item so I asked for a partial refund and they offered 25 back, which I felt like was fair. They also responded every time in a timely manner. So while the product did arrive damaged, customer service was excellent and this experience won’t deter me from ordering from wayfair again.. Gorgeous linen white color that matches our walls perfectly. Shipping took longer than expected. I ordered 2 of these and each has some slight imperfections from handling. Luckily, it's in hidden areas not visible. I wasn't expected these to be already built. Shelves are not easily adjustable because they come screwed in place. We use for our kids' books.. Eileen. TX. The Fox Hollow Bookcase brings the architectural presence of built-in library shelving to any room in a refined, freestanding form. Drawing on the tall, ordered bookcases of late Georgian and early Regency English country houses, it stands just over 93 inches tall and nearly 80 inches wide, reading as true casework rather than decorative storage, with no custom carpentry required. Adjustable shelves make room for books, framed art and collected pieces, while bronze-finished hardware adds a quiet traditional note. Crafted from acacia solids and veneers and offered in Whitewash, Driftwood and Truffle finishes, Fox Hollow is equally at home anchoring a library wall, flanking a fireplace in the living room, or bringing structure and balance to a study, home office or dining room. An anti-tip kit is included.

Well, I can't give a complete review yet as I have asked to return this and get a new one. This will be the 3rd delivery. The first time, one side panel was totally broken in half and the assembly guy said he wouldn't be able to do it (obviously). The second time, the inside of the back panel came with some kind of grease or heavy dirt stains (not talking about the blackish that is part of the coloring; it had some kind of marks that looked like someone stepped on it and the dirt was different in texture but didn't wipe off). The side panels on the inside also have streaks. AND it's totally unstable! I'd say maybe it's my floor but I had a bookcase in that same spot before and it didn't wobble like this one is. So I reordered it but on top of all that, it is now emitting heavy fumes! I have two air purifiers going, a fan, etc and it is diminishing. I hope it will work out. It's really hard to find a bookcase if you have space limitations and lots of books and want a sturdy, 6 shelf book case. (It says 5 shelves but unlike every other company, they are not counting the bottom shelf). On the plus side, the back of the bookcase is definitely stronger and nicer than most cardboardish/particle board bookcase backs and it is indeed a very handsome book case. The shelves seem strong. the sides look ok but if you knock on them like you would knock on a door, they sound hollow. do I think it's worth the asking price? No! But the options are limited depending on your requirements as I looked for 2 1/2 weeks full time for a 5-6 shelf bookcase that would hold hard cover books and not exceed 30-32 inches wide. We shall see. I heard three times is the charm! lol!. Deborah. Washington, Dc. Sun Nov 30 2025

This collection incorporates a highly detailed finish with hand-applied distressing that includes rasping, wear sanding, dry brushing, and pinholes to create texture and depth. This delivers a unique, special worn appearance of fine furniture that has withstood the test of time. The natural grain and beauty of the wood are enhanced by a multi-step, hand-rubbed Burnish finish. Vertical fluting and dentil molding further add character and aesthetic appeal. The Bookcase features five adjustable shelves and two fixed for storage.

Fantastic book shelves. Very solid and sturdy. The quality is excellent. These are definitely built to last.. Britt. Burr Ridge, IL. Tue Nov 12 2024

The bookcase came extremely well packed and in good shape. The selves are adjustable, with multiples holes for sizing. It came with runners nailed to the bottom, which needed to be removed. I noticed these after we had the bookshelf in place and it seemed unsteady. Should have instructions included to clarify removal of them, since they were securely nailed in place. Once filled up with books, the holes for adjusting the selves are not visible. The book case is heavy and sturdy. It was built to order, and recently finished (could slightly smell varnish), and slightly tacky feel. Still, I am very happy with the purchase, well priced!. Frederick. TN. Mon Aug 03 2020
