I’m giving this desk 4 stars because, while it is very spacious and offers plenty of room to work, I ran into several issues. I consider myself quite handy and enjoy putting furniture together, but the instructions were not the best. Additionally, one of the wooden planks arrived damaged. To make it fit my son’s bedroom layout, I had to reverse the configuration even though the desk isn’t designed to be reversible. Because of this, I had to place the angled plank upside down and couldn’t screw it into the metal frame however, this allowed the damaged part to face downward so it isnt noticeables. I was able to properly screw in the rectangular plank. While the metal frame is very sturdy and the desk provides a great amount of workspace, another downside is that fingerprints show up very easily on the wood. I have been longing for a standing desk, but I was very picky about it being an L shape and those get so expensive. This was a great price for exactly what I was after. It took me about 3 hours to assemble but it went together very easily with clear instructions. It's sturdy despite being light weight, and I was pleasantly surprised at how smooth the lift/lower options are. I work from home and have my personal computer on it, it has room for a bunch of monitors plus storage and comes with boxes perfectly sized for a cat. I love being able to pre-set heights so I could get it to sitting/ standing/ standing on a walking pad without having to fuss with it.
