Exceeded my expectations for the price. King size was a fairly easy assembly, 2 persons under an hr. Delivery was quick regardless of the 2 separate boxes arriving within days of each other. Making this bed is easy, our mattress is a Saatva Firm at 14”. Mattress drops nicely and fills the platform leaving a small gap to tuck sheets. Mattresses nowadays are very heavy but this bed allows picking up the corners without throwing out your back. Bed stays in place with no squeaking or cracking sounds. Ours arrived flawlessy. This is the best idea ever, I love it! I was not thrilled about a dark color so I took fabric and glue gunned it all around the wood pieces after I assembled most of it, their was enough room to do this and it worked great. I used a soft upholstry fabric and also laid batting on the broad surfaces. The mechanism works great and does not shut unless you pull it down. This queen platform bed frame is okay for the money spent. The color was exactly as pictured, which I appreciated. It’s not solid wood. It’s MDF with a wood laminate overlay and it definitely doesn’t have a high-end look. There are a lot of pieces to assemble, and not all of them aligned perfectly.
